-The Past-

As the year draws to an end, i look back and realise that a lot has changed in my life.

For one, i've graduated from poly and am now studying in Brisbane. Never have i thought that my dream of studying overseas would come true. New friendships have been forged and old ones kept close to my heart.

I lost in a relationship that wasn't meant to be in the first place but gained friends whom i know would always be there.

I travelled overseas and experienced a totally different way of life and studying method.

Since i had nothing to do, i looked through my older posts, from when i was fresh out of the relationship. I could not believe i was so angry then. All my posts were filled with so much anger and hatred. My mood swings were way out of control too. One moment i was forgiving and understanding, while the next i was angry and blaming everybody, then i would be suicidal. It was like i was a completely different person.

I've got to apologise for what i wrote because it was written in the heat of the moment - I did not mean it. Okay, maybe at that point in time i meant it but not anymore. I sincerely apologise. I'm sorry.

I'm glad i got over that stupid emotional phase in my life.

Lost friends have reappeared in my life and some that i previously thought were my friends disappointed me time and again. Something a friend said struck a chord in me - there are different types of people you will meet in your life. Only a handful of them will become your lifelong friends. A majority of them will become your seasonal friends, which are the kind that would be really close to you for a certain period of your life and then just fade into oblivion.

It made me think about the people i met throughout my short 20 years of life and i realised how true the statement was. It is always sad to find out that a friend was not who you thought they were but this is all part and parcel of life.

Just like how we are constantly forced to make different choices in our life. We may not always make the right one but it is how we deal with the choices we make that matters.

-A Walk To Remember-

Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.

Love is never boastful nor conceited.
It is never rude or selfish.
It does not take offence and it is not resentful.

Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but delights in the truth.
It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes.

-Baking Adventure-

Since I have got nothing to do at home, I went ahead with my plan of trying out the receipes which I had kept for so long in my computer. Initially I intended to try out the Famous Amos cookie receipe that i got off the net. But decided against it as I did not feel too chocolate-y then. So I settled for baking Chewy Oatmeal Raisins cookies instead.

It was a success! My first time baking it and it came out really well. Gave most of it to my friends and they said it was really good - comparable to Subway oatmeal raisin cookie! Yay! I'm not that bad a baker afterall. Too bad I forgot to take a picture of the cookies.

I so want to try out the springform pan i bought from IKEA but i have not really found any good cake receipes. At first i thought i would bake a cheesecake but i cannot decide which type of cheesecake to bake. Then i wanted to bake a Banana cake but i couldn't find any good receipes and i couldn't get hold of my mom to get her receipe. So no banana cake either.

I want to bake more stuff!

-Christmas Wishlist!-

I caught Twilight the other day with a friend and will be talking about it on the radio programme tonight. So i had to do some research about the Twilight series. After reading for about an hour now, of how Stephanie Meyer came up with the idea for the book and the synopsis for the first book in the series, i have to say that i am hooked.

So here i am, shamelessly, asking for the entire Twilight series as my Christmas present from the guys. You know who you are. I know you guys read my blog so don't pretend that you did not see this post. Besides, i'm saving you guys the trouble of having to wreck your brains to think of what to get for me.

To date, there are four books in the series: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I want the books with the original cover.

There! The original covers!

So please get it for me? Pretty please? Handsome and cute guys! :) You'll get your presents when i get back. I promise! I already have them with me. :)

-I'm Hungry!-

It's late.

I'm hungry.

Strangely, i did not drink today and i'm still wide awake at this un-godly hour.

Must be the talk i had with the friend that is keeping me awake.

Sometimes the stuff that he says actually does make sense. But looking at how he is always prancing about acting cool or being a clown, I can't believe the occasional words of wisdom that comes out of his mouth really hits right home.

-I Want To Go Back!!!-

Sigh. Life here is getting more and more complicated. The relationships of people around me are getting more and more complicated too. After you see a person's true colours, it's hard to ignore it and pretend everything is alright.

I want to get out of here and back to Singapore quick!

Could somebody just airlift me out of here? Like right now? But before doing that, perhaps make me go back to my original size before i came over.

-Byron Bay-

I think the more i stay on, the more money i'm spending. After coming back from sydney, i have practically been going out everyday. Which is not a very good thing. So anyway, we drove up to Byron Bay last week to catch the sunrise. It was really cloudy and we almost did not get to see anything. But eventually, the sun did come out.

There it is. The sun peeking out from behind the clouds and the beautiful sky. And no, this picture was not by me. I'm not that good a photographer.

The four of us that went, plus the photographer. As you can see, i put on a lot of weight here. Look at that round face!

There! The photographer, with his semi-pro camera.

Ok. I can't really remember if this picture was taken by me or him. I think it should be by him.

There. This was by me. Nice! Haha.

So anyway, after the overnight drive up to byron bay, we still had the energy to drive up to mount tamborine for breakfast and to get more wine. Sweet Red! Damn nice! Although i still prefer sweet white wines more than reds. I have 3 bottles of wine to bring back to singapore. Not sure if i'm allowed to though.

I have been drinking a whole damn lot the past week. One of my friends got really drunk and i had to take care of her even though i drank more than her. It was the first time i saw someone so drunk and puking so much. She woke up the next day not remembering anything. Damn scary can. I'm glad i can hold my liquour, if not imagine two girls drunk and puking. The guys would probably not know what to do.

Oh and i'm kind of regretting staying on. The summer is damn hot can. I dying of the heat everyday. And the harmful UV rays here! Thank God for the rain just now. Although it was quite a scary thunderstorm and it cut off the power to my house! Second time i have encountered a black out here. I am so grateful for electricity. I can't imagine how the ancients lived without it.
